  1. Echo says that, but my dealer just replaced the carburetor on my Echo trimmer ($80 repair), claims it's due to the ethanol.

The unit has only seen two years of its five-year warrantee, but "fuel system damage isn't covered". The dealer says they're seeing "a lot of it" with Echo products.

Echo needs to manufacture their products to be able to run with the 10% (or less) ethanol without damage, and honor their warrantee.

  2. I agree Echo needs to manufacture products with the ability to run on E10 and they need to honor their warranty as well. And although I am not doubting what you are saying I have to think that as a company they do. I may be totally off base here, but in my experience with other 2 cycle manufactured products it is generally the dealer that is the problem.
